Compliance Specialist - EEO Job, Auburn Hills, MI

The EEO Compliance Specialist is responsible for leading detailed, factual investigations into alleged violations of the Company's EEO and related policies, including harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. As the subject matter expert, the Compliance Specialist will provide guidance and/or support to HR and operating management to resolve issues on EEO and compliance matters. The Compliance Specialist will assist in the identification of EEO compliance trends, the development of reports, and the implementation of process improvements, as required. The successful candidate may develop and deliver training around anti-harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and/or diversity and inclusion.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years HR-related experience with working knowledge of basic HR policies and procedures
  • Experience conducting complex investigations
  • Experience writing comprehensive, confidential investigative reports
  • Excellent verbal communication, written communication, and organizational skills
  • Able to work effectively with all levels of employees
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Travel up to 30% may be required
  • Eager to learn and take on new challenges
  • Must be a self-starter

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Management and/or Labor Relations
  • An understanding of employment law highly desirable
  • Experience in developing and/or training in anti-harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and/or diversity and inclusion
  • Labor relations and manufacturing HR experience
