The Commodity Manager will be responsible for negotiating and buying sales and marketing services in support of the fast-paced marketing organization. The duties include management of the sourcing process, developing and implementing creative solutions to complex projects, cost management and PO/ contract administration. Responsibilities includes but is not limited to: selecting suppliers, placing purchase orders, managing contracts, interfacing with internal and external customers, managing supplier relationships, and developing international strategies. Candidate must be strong at coordinating activities with other departments and resolving conflicts and can assume ultimate responsibility to ensure suppliers deliver quality product on time. Additional responsibilities include developing and/or assisting in the development of strategies and solutions to continuously improve costs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business, Marketing, Finance, Management, Supply Chain or related field
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in purchasing or marketing
  • Must be well organized, self-motivated, capable of managing conflict, and resourceful managing complex assignments
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and effectively interface with all levels including marketing senior management
  • Results oriented and ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills required; must be comfortable interfacing with all levels of management
  • Proficient in MS office Suite programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • Strong understanding of and experience with marketing commodities and industry benchmark practices
  • Strong understanding of commercial production
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to think and act strategically
  • Knowledge of the legal contract development process
  • Experience with creative advertising agencies and/or television commercial production companies
