This position is physically located at the WCMA/TTC in Warren, MI.

The Central Team Logistics Customer Service Pillar Specialist is responsible to lead and manage the direction, standardization and implementation of the pillar methodology of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) across all NAFTA region FCA manufacturing facilities within the United States, Mexico and Canada. Responsible for driving pillar activities and initiatives on the WCM Central Team designed to create knowledge, develop leadership and drive expansion of WCM methodology for approximately 30 pillar leaders and their teams within the manufacturing division.

Job responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Creation of knowledge of WCM pillar methodology
  • Deliver training and organize workshops to increase the level of knowledge of the pillar methodology
  • Responsible to drive standardization of pillar activities within the NAFTA region across all plants
  • Approve best practices derived from best in class plants
  • Drive the read across and standardization of the approved best practices across all plants to achieve desired KPI results
  • Identification, development, certification and management of plant pillar specialists
  • Organize pillar succession activities using certified pillar specialists to attend reviews, audits and provide coaching to plants and drive pillar activities per the route map
  • Coach, guide and direct plant pillar leads for plant reviews, audit preparation and kaizen journal activities
  • Provide direction to plant pillar leads for route map expansion, pillar score, leadership and succession development
  • Expansion of knowledge through the creation of course content at the World Class Manufacturing Academy (WCMA)
  • Provide training to students as needed
  • Lead efforts to increase on-line training participation within the pillar
  • Work with model plants to devise the Score 4 methodology and interpretation of audit criteria for the pillar
  • Participate in central team expansion reviews and award gate conference call preparation
  • Conduct monthly pillar communication initiatives (i.e. conference calls, web meetings, etc.)
  • Assist plants in devising strategies to attack highest loss areas through the implementation of kaizen projects
  • Assess and measure the effectiveness of these projects to achieve the plant's quality and cost savings targets 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineer or another related field
  • Knowledge of manufacturing environment
  • Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities based on plant audits, timing and reviews
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability/willingness to be a self-starter and a team oriented member
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and timely response

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree
  • Experience in the automobile industry
  • Strong level of knowledge and understanding of the pillar and WCM methodology
  • Demonstrated WCM implementation experience within a manufacturing environment
