Business Operations Analyst - World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Specialist Job, Auburn Hills, MI

The Business Operations and Planning Analyst will support all elements of Business Operations and Planning in the Engineering organization including supporting World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodologies in the labs, garages and shops (Safety, Quality, People Development, Workplace Organization, and Autonomous Maintenance). The Analyst will be responsible for engineering and operational special projects, and any other new business operation opportunities.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in budget tracking
  • Assist with key activity board principles in the labs, garages and shops (WCM Methodologies)
  • Support and coach the board leads in relation to the governance process for labs, garages and shops activity boards
  • Assist with and evaluate all strategic initiatives/proposals as necessary (continuous improvement methods for the labs, garages and shops)
  • Support other Engineering operational activities as required (CTC evaluation road, CTC tours, facilities services, budget, and internal organizational communication and read-across) 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree
  • Minimum of five years of experience in an automotive environment
  • Advanced to expert level skill in WCM Methodology
  • Advanced skills required in manipulating, interpreting, comparing, and overall analysis of complex data sets
  • Must be self-starter, innovator and team orientated
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Process driven and attention to details
  • Strong interpersonal skills and assertive
  • Ability to adapt quickly in response to fluid operational situations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Proactive and able to follow up on open items with all levels of management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Business Administration or Engineering
  • Program management experience
  • Knowledge of FCA engineering process (CPCP)
  • World Class Engineering experience
  • Knowledge of resource forecasting
