The FCA Quality organization is currently seeking a solutions-oriented Black Belt Implementation Manager (DFSS) to join the Quality team at the FCA US Headquarters and Technology Center in Auburn Hills, MI. The Black Belt Implementation Manager (DFSS) is responsible for developing a team of DFSS team to work with the Quality staff on the deployment of DFSS. The DFSS Black Belt will coach and mentor project leaders, sponsors, team members and FCA management on all aspects of the DFSS methodology and application.

Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Plan, prioritize, set goals and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment
  • Serve as a coach and a mentor, teaching new candidates proactive methodologies in classroom and laboratory settings
  • Communicate and educate expectations of standard key tools and methodologies
  • Minimum 18 months of required training to become an FCA-certified DFSS Master Black Belt

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an (ABET) accredited university
  • Certified Black Belt
  • Minimum 8 years of experience of project leading and coaching
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with DFSS (Design for Six Sigma)
  • Demonstrated experience in the areas of House of Quality, Taguchi methods, Axiomatic Design, IDDOV (or IDD or IOV or similar)
  • Robust Assessment, Signal-to-Noise, Non-dynamic, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry recognized Master Black Belt
  • 10 years of experience of project leading and coaching
  • Automotive experience
  • Proven track record of leadership
