This position leads Powertrain Rotating Strategy Activity:
  • Advanced estimating and modelling of solutions to manufacture powertrain rotating components
  • Center of Competency deployment in NAFTA region
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategy with global powertrain purchasing
  • Lead Early Product Management initiatives, interface with PTPE teams
  • Create and maintain standards such as process, line, & equipment standards 
  • Coordinate specification updates utilizing WCM tools; MPIs, EPIs, and Kaizens 
  • Lead Rotating cross-project activity, drive standardization across plants 
  • Support New and Non-New Model Manufacturing Teams
  • Support World Class Technology initiatives
  • Support Innovation & Benchmarking Activities

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in Engineering or Technical Discipline, BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in powertrain machining and/or manufacturing engineering. Rotating experience preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in program management or multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams 
  • Read and interpret product, process, and equipment drawings, including GD&T
  • Ability to create process diagrams and concept layouts 
  • Ability to learn Digital Manufacturing tools such as 3D modeling using Siemens PLM suite of manufacturing solutions
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the Powertrain organization
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and develop the best teams while holding themselves and others accountable 
  • Ability to manage and coordinate complex projects while maintaining simplistic communications to others
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong relationship based work environment with close working relationship with Powertrain plants
  • Some travel required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in a technical field 
  • Automotive experience 10 or more years of progressively responsible experience in a manufacturing environment
