Functioning as a member of the Digital Manufacturing team, the Digital Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for 3D plant model creation, maintenance, and development. In addition, the position is responsible for creating a process to build 3D plant models. This process will include laser scanning and the use of point cloud data to build 3D models. The successful applicant will also be an integral part of a team responsible for leveraging the 3D digital factory models for other business applications. The digital manufacturing team will be responsible for visualization of the 3D digital factory to be used for process planning, optimization, data management, and collaboration between different systems. The person in this position will also be charged with resource planning and allocation, coordination of suppliers, facilitating collaboration across different manufacturing groups, developing standards for digital library, and other areas and metric development.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or related technical discipline or currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Architecture or related technical discipline
  • Knowledge of 2D and 3D layouts/models
  • Experience with digital modeling software, simulation software and PLM software
  • Basic CAD skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical, technical and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree
  • 3+ years' experience in Digital Manufacturing
  • Degree in Industrial or Systems Engineering
  • Motivated, self-starter/results-oriented individual who works well in a team and in different environments
