The Electrician will work on a three-shift rotation to support manufacturing operations. The responsibilities for this position will include but not limited to: Assembling, installing, testing, repairing, replacing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatuses, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. The Electrician will also diagnose malfunctioning systems and apparatuses as well as test/inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes (legislative, safety). The Electrician will be responsible to ensure that all work completed results in the highest quality of product leaving the workstation (piece of equipment/machine).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Completed Apprenticeship as an Electrician and possess the Certificate of Apprenticeship
  • Certificate of Qualification in 309A or 442A
  • Proven experience working with PLC's (Allen Bradley), Device Net, Ethernet, Motors, VFD's (Powerflex), DC Drives, Controls, Robotics (Fanuc, ABB, Nachi, Kuka)
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret, troubleshoot, write and understand Rockwell Software, specifically RSLogix 5000 and RSLogix 5
  • Thorough understanding of Ladder Logic
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret automation wiring diagrams
  • Ability to troubleshoot systems and circuits
  • Knowledge and understanding of Panel View, RS View, Panel Builder, DH+/RIO and RSNetWorx
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a licensed electrician
  • Master Electrician License
  • Fluent in Allen Bradley software, controls and communications
  • World Class Manufacturing or LEAN Manufacturing experience
